>> reporter: good morning to you on this chilly april morning here in boston. i am on boylston street, the street where bombs went off the day before yesterday. and the investigation continues. the crime scene still consists of many blocks around where the bombs went off. something else has gone up here next to the barricades, flower, flags and candles, a tribute to those who died. meantime three blocks from where i'm standing, the investigation continues. we now know verts have found a battery pack and circuit board at the scene that they believe was part of a triggering device used in the explosion. they say the device is sophisticated and the bombers knew what they were doing. you mentioned the photo of twisted metal that resembles a pressure cooker. at least one of the bombs used a pressure cooker hidden inside a bag or sack, possibly a nylon sack. the other bomb also used some type of metal container but it's not clear if it was the same as the first. investigators also say each bomb contained tiny nails.
